Be Grateful

Last Sunday service...Pastor John preached on Luke 17:11-19 Ten Healed of Leprosy

opened my eyes on gratitude towards our Lord Jesus...in the story...Jesus healed the 10 men with leprosy... yet only one who is a Samaritan came back praising God and thanked Jesus.

When was the last time we thank Jesus for being our Lord and Saviour...our eternal Healer

When was the last time we thank God for being our Heavenly Father...who sent His only Son to show us how to live a righteous life as shown in the 4 gospels...

How much...How deep can we praise...

Can take a small step now and not later...thank Him in your heart.

Our first working cell group meeting

my working cell group members suggested to fast to remember the Lent...so last friday we fasted for the working hours...meet up for a heavy breakfast...

during lunch time, we had a prayer session....me shared 2 verses in the Bible that caught my eyes a couple of days back...

1) Ephesians 6:10-18

The Armor of God

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

The above verses shown that we Christians have the necessary equipment to face the world and devil...imagine the sword is the word of God...simple yet powerful...amen

The other verse is found in 2 Cor 12:9-10

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Here Paul said from his experience with God's grace...it is interesting to see how in our weakness, God will have His power to work out the good things in our weakness...that is by His amazing grace...that is Paul delights to be in all the hardship positions...where he will see Christ's power surfaced through these difficult times...simply amazing

another significant understanding...Christ's grace is sufficient for all of us...when we have troubles, stress over things...take a step to be still...in heart...and confess and BELIEVE...Christ's grace is sufficient for me...the problem cant be bigger than You my Lord...you will be amazed by the outcomes...cos me tried many times :)

truly amazed by the simplicity yet power filled of Your words Lord...please let me see more You...please let me hear more You...for Your grace is sufficient for me...

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most You would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you whom I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Things to do this Chinese New Year

These last few days...been pondering over this verse.

Ephesians 4:2

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient; bearing with one another in love.

On Thursday...post this verse and asked my w cell grp members to do for this cny period. Of cos we will meet with difficulties...no doubt that...hehe...being a christian is never easy :)

The above verse shows how in a way a christian SHOULD behave...yes...there are many preaching that say as a christian...no works are required...and wait for the Almighty one to 'drop'...dun think so lor...we still must put in effort one lor...but Holy Spirit in us will guide us one lor...that is the difference. :)

Would take this chance chinese new year celebration and visitations...to glorify Christ's name...hope to share the good new with more pple...may the Holy Spirit in me guide me...give me the green light when is the right time to share...may Holy Spirit give me the guts and words to speak...for the gospel is to be shared with the lost sheeps...i was once one...till Lord found me! :)

Pastor John's one of fav phrase: God so loved us that He gave his only Son...and God so loved us to let us remain as who we...let this year...by application of Christ's good works into my life...my life will be filled greatness...yesh...by His grace and goodness.

Amen.

God cares for us

got to admit something first...once God's word touches my heart...me will just melt...like snow melt into water...tear flows like flood gate open wide...just like yesterday sermon like that...

yesterday topic...God cares for us...pastor john gave a lasting preaching on this...he said...our heavenly Father is not far and sit high high above...He is near and personal...all we have to do is to approach Him with a willing heart...He will help us...care for us.

pastor john gave an simple yet powerful example...our earthly father...how does our fathers treat us...unconditional love from them...how much more our heavenly Father...who is bigger than anyone on this earth...yet He cares for us.

we ought to find security in His arms...not worrying...not stressing...yet we are...by doing this we are hurting Him...but not casting our cares and worries to Him...we want to carry our own worries

my flood gates of tears flowed 3/4 of the preaching time...the Love of God...no words can describe...brother raymond was sitting beside me...think he also stunned :)

the second worshipping part...the lady sitting beside me also flood gate opened...Thank you Lord...for opening our hearts to You once again!

Praise you Lord!!!

Spirtual Breakthrough

Currently, Pastor John is doing a 'Breakthrough' series during the fridays bible study. So far 3 sermons on the topic have passed and it is getting more exciting each time...got to admit at times...me lost in the jungle...but Pastor John is able to use layout terms and examples to guide me back...so not too blur!

Some brief sentences that still in my mind...of cos...those of you who are interested can always go to the website to download the mp3...yes...it is for free...no need to pay one :)

Lesson 1 (really like lecture one lor...sit there and will take notes one...): Many a times in our walk in faith, there could be time where we will be 'tired'...when we lost our 'cutting edge in Christ'...just that we will have to 're-discover' Christ back into our life...dun worry...Christ never leave us...usually is WE leave Christ when we relay on SELF to achieve things (2 King 6:1-6)

Key note: Faith For Revival Not For Survival

Lesson 2: The 4 main steps how we should approach christian life...

1) Revelation...when we hear the gospel
2) Confession...Jesus is our Lord and Saviour
3) Action...Through the Holy Spirit in us to do things according as quoted from

2 Tim 2:22

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

4) Appropriation...understand that God's grace is and will be ever filling and full for us!!!

2 Co 12:9

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Key Note: God Initiates, We responds

That is all for now...lesson 3 to continue soon :)

Your Time Will Come

Beloved Dear Dear,

Will pray for you to acceptance for the Lord into your life...for God is loving and faithful and patience...He does not force and forever giving...for you have seen my walk towards God...YC told me to go church it is great to be in House of God...yet me told him off...not once...not twice...but for about 2 mths...certainly long enough to put off many people...yet he was not put off...he continue to advise to go church...for the good of me to learn more abt God...learn abt Jesus 's teaching.

One day...God will unblock your heart to heard His words...and that day will come soon...
