Time for Journal

Pastor was sharing yesterday...will be a good habit to jot down our tots one some verse...for yesterday was this verse that stuck my heart...

Matthew 4:4
'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'

Just realise...life is not about material needs...but it is all matter that to know more about God each day...to know of His word...hmm...again some pple might think all these tots could be one sided...very interesting...what He said He will not 'unsaid'...if not He is not He is...

Recently have been toking to cabbies...at least 2 of them...divorced case...really sad lor...marriage are supposed to be life time committment...did not get to live a full life as a couple...

Life is not just abt $$$...it is more to this...it is knowing that 'some one' is there for and with you...that is our Heavenly Father...is it wonderful?! ")

Still / Be Still My Soul

Got Don Moen Hiding Place for this song...

Hide me now
Under Your Wings
Cover me
Within Your mighty Hand

When the oceans rise
And thunders roar
I will soar with You
Above the storm
Father You are King
Over the flood
And I will be still
ANd know You are God

Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know His power
In quietness and trust

Be still and know
That I am God
I am the God
That healeth thee

The words describe my feelings in the current situations facing now...things happening left and right...with so much of uncertainties...lotsa of things cannot control...believe this is the time God is moulding me into a shaper tool for His purposes.

In the meantime enjoying every day that Lord is here with us...guiding us...牵着我的手 带领着我...blessed be the name of the Lord...indeed...glory to You forever and ever! ...Amen! :)

Breakthroughs for year 2007

Comes December...end of year already...time to sit down and reflect what were the breakthroughs in life for the year 2007...for me...here are many! :)

1) My wife, Wiselyn got saved!...Praise God...those who knows her...will know her stand in reglion matters is a firm no no...but Glory to God...He has a way in our hearts...as long as we are willing

2) My daugther Clara is borned...Clara was borned on 28 Aug... Wiselyn after a 6 hours of labour....'pu' out bb clara...our gift from God

3) Baptism in June 2007...my public declaration to show my commitment to walk with our Lord Jesus...indeed...in life we always THINK we shall wait for a certain events to happen before walking with God...the truth is the opposite...walk with God first...the rest of the events will follow.

The walk with Jesus is never going to be easy...in Luke 9:57-62 shows the kind of commitment He tells to expect should we begin the walk with Him...but!!!

it is all worthwhile to Praise and worship Him and Him alone...ah...the feeling...indescribable! :)

4) Carrer wise...make a stunning U turn...to now a position that did not ever will think will be in!

5) Touching souls in various ways...just as Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20 telling the disciplines to go and make disciples of all nations! and He surely be with us always, to the very of the age (20)...Believe that people whom i shared the gospel with...in due time to come...will know God is Love...in 1John 4:10...This is love (the previous verse the God showed his love among us when He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.) not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as a n atoning sacrifice for our sins...

Brothers and Sisters...believers and non believers...there is no greater love than His love for us...

Do hope this coming Christmas...spend it in a meaningful way...find out the TRUE story of Christmas...that the King was borned among us...the same King who is WILLING to die on our behalf...the same King who was mocked by mortal beings like us...yet He pleaded for them...that they did not know what they are doing..the same King who promised us He will rise again from death 3 days later.

Christmas is not about being merry and gift exchanging...it does mean much much more...of the Messiah who came, saved and rose to eternal life...Thank You Jesus...for this wonderful time to be able to sit at your lap to know You more and more!

Amen!

My faith in God links to baby clara

Before the birth of baby clara, i always have doubt in the power of prayers. But the birth Clara, really shows me the power of prayers.

As a first time mummy, i am not sure what to expect when baby is due to arrive in this world. I am fearful of the events that will happen when baby is due to arrive. I am afraid that i will panic when "signs" shows or waterbag burst. So i prayed every night a few days before clara is due, i prayed to GOD and asked that i will not have to panic..

And it did happen as what i prayed for...No contraction pain, no "signs" of baby arrival...and on the date that clara is suppose to be due, she still decide not to come out, my doc decides to induce me....

Praise the Lord!

Although the birth of clara was not consider a fast one (6 hours), however i am blessed with a smooth delivery..and not a painful one.. i have to praise lord to lead me through the delivery process..

StrengthsFinder

Our church organised StrengthsFinder Course over the National Day period...9th was server's workshop...meant for all to attend...10th was for leaders...we not...so no go... and 11th was for couples!! :)

Clement's Strengths are

Empathy (1st)
You can sense the emotions of those around you. You can feel what they are feeling as though their feelingsare your own. Intuitively, you are able to see the world through their eyes and share their perspective. You donot necessarily agree with each person's perspective. You do not necessarily feel pity for each person'spredicament-this would be sympathy, not Empathy. You do not necessarily condone the choices each personmakes, but you do understand. This instinctive ability to understand is powerful. You hear the unvoicedquestions. You anticipate the need. Where others grapple for words, you seem to find the right words and theright tone. You help people find the right phrases to express their feelings-to themselves as well as to others. You help them give voice to their emotional life. For all these reasons other people are drawn to you.

Developer
You see the potential in others. Very often, in fact, potential is all you see. In your view no individual is fullyformed. On the contrary, each individual is a work in progress, alive with possibilities. And you are drawntoward people for this very reason. When you interact with others, your goal is to help them experiencesuccess. You look for ways to challenge them. You devise interesting experiences that can stretch them andhelp them grow. And all the while you are on the lookout for the signs of growth-a new behavior learned ormodified, a slight improvement in a skill, a glimpse of excellence or of "flow" where previously there were onlyhalting steps. For you these small increments-invisible to some-are clear signs of potential being realized. These signs of growth in others are your fuel. They bring you strength and satisfaction. Over time many willseek you out for help and encouragement because on some level they know that your helpfulness is bothgenuine and fulfilling to you.

Positivity
You are generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in the situation. Somecall you lighthearted. Others just wish that their glass were as full as yours seems to be. But either way, people want to be around you. Their world looks better around you because your enthusiasm is contagious.Lacking your energy and optimism, some find their world drab with repetition or, worse, heavy with pressure. You seem to find a way to lighten their spirit. You inject drama into every project. You celebrate everyachievement. You find ways to make everything more exciting and more vital. Some cynics may reject yourenergy, but you are rarely dragged down. Your Positivity won't allow it. Somehow you can't quite escape yourconviction that it is good to be alive, that work can be fun, and that no matter what the setbacks, one mustnever lose one's sense of humor.

Activator
"When can we start?" This is a recurring question in your life. You are impatient for action. You may concedethat analysis has its uses or that debate and discussion can occasionally yield some valuable insights, butdeep down you know that only action is real. Only action can make things happen. Only action leads toperformance. Once a decision is made, you cannot not act. Others may worry that "there are still some thingswe don't know," but this doesn't seem to slow you. If the decision has been made to go across town, you knowthat the fastest way to get there is to go stoplight to stoplight. You are not going to sit around waiting until allthe lights have turned green. Besides, in your view, action and thinking are not opposites. In fact, guided byyour Activator theme, you believe that action is the best device for learning. You make a decision, you takeaction, you look at the result, and you learn. This learning informs your next action and your next. How canyou grow if you have nothing to react to? Well, you believe you can't. You must put yourself out there. Youmust take the next step. It is the only way to keep your thinking fresh and informed. The bottom line is this:You know you will be judged not by what you say, not by what you think, but by what you get done. This doesnot frighten you. It pleases you.

Connectedness
Things happen for a reason. You are sure of it. You are sure of it because in your soul you know that we areall connected. Yes, we are individuals, responsible for our own judgments and in possession of our own freewill, but nonetheless we are part of something larger. Some may call it the collective unconscious. Others maylabel it spirit or life force. But whatever your word of choice, you gain confidence from knowing that we are notisolated from one another or from the earth and the life on it. This feeling of Connectedness implies certain responsibilities. If we are all part of a larger picture, then we must not harm others because we will be harmingourselves. We must not exploit because we will be exploiting ourselves. Your awareness of theseresponsibilities creates your value system. You are considerate, caring, and accepting. Certain of the unity ofhumankind, you are a bridge builder for people of different cultures. Sensitive to the invisible hand, you cangive others comfort that there is a purpose beyond our humdrum lives. The exact articles of your faith willdepend on your upbringing and your culture, but your faith is strong. It sustains you and your close friends in the face of life's mysteries.

Wiselyn's Strengths are:
1) Includer (formerly Inclusiveness) (1st one)
"Stretch the circle wider." This is the philosophy around which you orient your life. You want to include people and make them feel part of the group. In direct contrast to those who are drawn only to exclusive groups, you actively avoid those groups that exclude others. You want to expand the group so that as many people as possible can benefit from its support. You hate the sight of someone on the outside looking in. You want to draw them in so that they can feel the warmth of the group. You are an instinctively accepting person. Regardless of race or sex or nationality or personality or faith, you cast few judgments. Judgments can hurt a person's feelings. Why do that if you don't have to? Your accepting nature does not necessarily rest on a belief that each of us is different and that one should respect these differences. Rather, it rests on your conviction that fundamentally we are all the same. We are all equally important. Thus, no one should be ignored. Each of us should be included. It is the least we all deserve.

Empathy...same as Clement...so no repeat

Consistency (formerly Fairness)
Balance is important to you. You are keenly aware of the need to treat people the same, no matter what their station in life, so you do not want to see the scales tipped too far in any one person's favor. In your view this leads to selfishness and individualism. It leads to a world where some people gain an unfair advantage because of their connections or their background or their greasing of the wheels. This is truly offensive to you. You see yourself as a guardian against it. In direct contrast to this world of special favors, you believe that people function best in a consistent environment where the rules are clear and are applied to everyone equally. This is an environment where people know what is expected. It is predictable and evenhanded. It is fair. Here each person has an even chance to show his or her worth.

Restorative
You love to solve problems. Whereas some are dismayed when they encounter yet another breakdown, you can be energized by it. You enjoy the challenge of analyzing the symptoms, identifying what is wrong, and finding the solution. You may prefer practical problems or conceptual ones or personal ones. You may seek out specific kinds of problems that you have met many times before and that you are confident you can fix. Or you may feel the greatest push when faced with complex and unfamiliar problems. Your exact preferences are determined by your other themes and experiences. But what is certain is that you enjoy bringing things back to life. It is a wonderful feeling to identify the undermining factor(s), eradicate them, and restore something to its true glory. Intuitively, you know that without your intervention, this thing-this machine, this technique, this person, this company-might have ceased to function. You fixed it, resuscitated it, rekindled its vitality. Phrasing it the way you might, you saved it.

Connectedness...same same...same point some more...hehe
(from Gallup University)

Dr Rick Yamamto was the speaker...he and his wife Susan...two very very nice pple!!!...they are from States flied over together over another sister to do some personal matters...but what a great 2 days courses...hehe

The main point rick said...it is not what we have...but to tap onto to what other people have..God gives each of us talents...is to use these talents to serve Him and glorify Him...not for our selfish means...many a times..we neglect this point...rick said...to get some one of the same strengths in the same order...if did not remember wrongly...1 in 33 million or some thing...correct me if am wrong.

First day...it is to know what each strength means and rick was having stomach upset and not feeling well...Thank God to help him through the whole day course...filled with activites...need some time to get use to church pple mah...hehe...me and wiselyn consider new new mah...so break some ice...hehe...by the end of the day...more or less...pple in the course...more or less know...or at least can type the face to a name :)

Sat was the couple one...hehe...to us it was better than first day...hehe...some pple suggest why not ask all couples up to discuss abt their strengths and problems that are facing now or improvements to married life...hehe...really...for me and wise...our strengths of Positivity and Restorative conflict...me everyday also positive...anything can wait...will turn out good kind of feeling...but to her...things need to be restored to its original state...by hook or by croak...which is true...remember this word call compromise?...hehe...time to use it again...hehe :)

Rick suggested...rather to look at individual strengths...and be one person team...why not as a couple...tap on each another strength...move forward as a couple...likewise for the church...when each of us help out in a small area...a mountain can be moved already!

Some of us...did not know we actually have such strengths...indeed...God created us...we dun even know ourself that well! :)

At the end of the course...we thanked Rick and Susan for the great course conducted!...Susan prayed for wiselyn and clara for the upcoming delievery...Bless them Lord...truly a nice couple...:)
